Red Lentil & Sweet Potato Curry - An Ayurvedic Recipe

According to ancient Ayurveda, we are all made up of a unique combination of three energies. These energies, or doshas, are known as vata, pitta and kapha. We all have some of each dosha, but one is usually more dominant than the others. This week we are focusing on the vata dosha, as it is often tied to anxiety. Vata thrives on warm, cooked foods especially those that are oily and easy to digest. Vata does best when focusing on foods that are primarily sweet, sour or salty. This Red Lentil & Sweet Potato Curry is the perfect balance of tastes, textures and spices to help pacify vata.
