Men’s Group
A male led safe space for men.
This group is meant to allow individuals to show up as they are, open up to the challenging parts of their existence, and work on skills to help them better manage symptoms of stress in their lives. It was created to help you foster a sense of belonging and community without fear of being rejected or excluded for simply having human experiences that are often shamed or minimized for males. If you’re an individual who identifies with and feels directly impacted by the expectations of being male within society, then this group is a safe space for you. This group will tackle issues such as anxiety, depression, feelings of being inadequate or lacking purpose in life, challenges with effective communication, anger management, shame, and unstable relationships.
When: Biweekly on Thursday evening at 5pm.
Led by Michael Schwarz
Trauma Group
This group is an offer of healing in community.
Navigating trauma is overwhelming and can become isolating as we try to cope with our past while surviving our present. People oftentimes find themselves feeling more and more alone and frightened with painful memories consistently flooding the mind and body. We are here to walk with each other through the pain of survival and towards a horizon of healing and wholeness. Sometimes there is laughter and other times there are tears, but you are welcome in this space exactly as you are - no matter how messy or “put together” you happen to be on any given day.
Group sessions include trauma education, skills and tools for coping with symptoms, integrative nutrition education, as well as gentle yoga and meditation. While there is no requirement that you talk - it can take time to be ready to share - facilitated group discussions provide space for emotional processing and relational connection.
When: Wednesdays at 5pm
