Gabby Villalpando, mental health therapy intern
Hi I’m Gabby! I’m a fourth-gen Mexican-American therapist-in-training from Northwest Arkansas. I am currently pursuing my MA in Mindfulness-Based Transpersonal Counseling at Naropa University. My work is rooted in mindfulness, transpersonal, and social justice practices, and I am passionate about integrating these frameworks into my therapeutic approach.
I am committed to cultivating a safe and welcoming space where your wholeness is seen and honored. My approach to mental health care is integrative and relational, using curiosity, empathy, and even humor to build a strong therapeutic relationship. I believe that you are the expert of your own life, and together, we can embark on a meaningful healing journey. I draw on somatic and present-centered interventions to meet you where you are depending on your unique needs. I will strive to help you develop skills within therapy that can be applied to your relationships and life outside of our sessions.
While I welcome all, I particularly enjoy working with women of color, highly sensitive people, and young adults navigating their cultural and racial identity, relationships, spirituality and the challenges of emerging adulthood.
Outside of the therapy room, I enjoy spending time with my partner, friends, and my pup, deepening my spiritual practice and envisioning a liberated world. I love listening to music and podcasts, being outside, and unabashedly love watching reality TV.
It would be such an honor to be a part of your journey!
