Madison Baxter, LCSW Mental health therapist (she/her)
Madison is a licensed certified social worker, and a Fayetteville native. Since 2015 she has provided services in community mental health, and school-based settings. She has worked with teens, adults, and families from diverse backgrounds, and experiences. Some areas of focus include depression, anxiety, trauma, and OCD. Madison received her master’s degree from Washington University, in St. Louis, and her bachelor’s degree from Kalamazoo College, in Michigan. Madison has experience and training in Cognitive Behavior Therapy, Acceptance and Commitment Therapy, Exposure and Response Prevention Therapy, and Prolonged Exposure Therapy. Madison has experience working with LGBTQ, and gender non-conforming individuals, and has experience assessing readiness for gender affirming interventions.
Madison utilizes a person-centered and trauma informed approach to build a collaborative and supportive therapeutic relationship. Her goal as a therapist is to help you explore what matters most to you in order to engage in meaningful change, and find relief from emotional pain. This can look like short term, targeted trauma treatment that occurs over the course of a few months, or long term supportive psychodynamic therapy. Treatment is designed to meet your needs.
Outside of the office Madison is a homebody, and enjoys sitting on the porch, reading science fiction, and hanging out with her cats.
