Trauma Program

Trauma happens when we are met with a situation that is so overwhelming and frightening that we are unable to process the situation and our internal and external coping resources are exceeded in the moment. The lasting effects of trauma range from relational challenges with self and others, anxiety and panic, physical health issues, intrusive thoughts, losing connection with our bodies, and more. Because the whole self - mind, body, spirit - is impacted by trauma, we are dedicated to providing holistic care that meets the needs of the whole person.

our trauma program includes

Trauma affects the entire human organism - body, mind, and brain.
In PTSD the body continues to defend against a threat that belongs to the past.

about the facilitator - Dr. Crystal Rofkahr

The Day by Day Trauma Program was created and is facilitated by Dr. Crystal Rofkahr. Dr. Rofkahr has studied with the some of world’s foremost experts on mind, body, and soul healing, and through her research discovered that all of our distress, whether it be physical, psychological, or spiritual, can wrap around a person like a spider web, restricting their personal growth and potential. She feels that her purpose in life is to help people reconnect to themselves in such a way that they are capable of breaking through these restrictions so they can live life in a more connected and nourished way.
