What is Group Therapy

Group therapy is a powerful way of working on problems because the same issues that trouble a person in his or her every day life also happen in group. In group, individuals have the opportunity to catch themselves making mistakes and are encouraged to try out new approaches to solve problems, build a support network with other members, be challenged in a positive way, and to help others.

The groups at Day by Day have expert therapists that will point out mindsets and interactions observed in the group, facilitate interactions and group exchanges in a positive way, challenge members to look at situations with new perspective, practice new behaviors and skills, and experience community.

The most important part of any group is the members! Day by Day emphasizes that group members are actively involved in interactions, willing to make efforts and changes in their daily lives and share their feelings, impressions, and needs to the extent to which they are comfortable.
